What I mean is, it's ok to enjoy a movie without taking into consideration the politics or religion of the people behind the camera. Most films are made by scumbags. The producers, the directors, the writers --all of them. But, as soon as a work of fiction is released to the public, I think it BELONGS to the public. It should be viewed as it's own, distinct thing and should be judged by its merits alone. Now, the exception to this is when there's an obvious agenda being pushed. Then it's going to suck anyways, so whatever.

Nah, that was an acceptable position 20 years ago. This is war now. All enemies need to swing.

When you fund a communist by paying for their products, even if said product is quality and doesn't push an agenda, you're still funding and supporting communism if the person who made it is politically active and influences others.
