The Apocalypse Trilogy consists of 3 Carpenter films: The Thing, In the Mouth of Madness, and Prince of Darkness. The three are connected by theme, not story. I've seen The Thing and In the Mouth of Madness, but I've yet to watch Prince of Darkness (I've heard it's the weakest of the three films). I thought The Thing and In the Mouth of Madness were excellent. I'm always in search of good lovecraftian horror movies. Lovecraftian horror is such a hard thing to bring to life in film, but when it's done right, it's awesome. If you guys have any good examples of lovecraftian horror in film, let me know.

The Thing is sci-fi. It has nothing to do with supernatural bullshit.

Little did you know Lovecraft also did some sci fi shit. In the Walls of Eryx being notable.

Lovecraft and Allan Poe were both great. Why are you bringing him here?

Scifi makes for great horror movies. You ever hear of Alien?

Yes. Alien is fucking sci-fi too.

I don't understand your argument here. Scifi horror is a thing bro. Alien is the quintessential example of that.
