Don't be fooled. This movie is woke. They were careful to hide the niggress (Liet/Dr. Kynes, yes Dr. Kynes is a sheboon) and barely showed Chani as a nigg-light half-breed. Also Dr. Yueh is a chink and Duncan Idaho is a jew and Gurney Halleck is a Hawaii nigger. Paul Atreides is a little faggot and the whole movie will be revised with woke messages and other (((narratives))). Fuck this shit. Stick with the 1984 David Lynch version and the original Frank Herbert books.

The nod to Jodorowsky with the Pink Floyd music and Giger art has me intrigued.

My impressions of the trailer:

  • Look is not as otherworldly as David Lynch's Dune.
  • Dude is too emo.
  • The pain box is wrong -- you can still see most of the guy's hand, so you know nothing is happening to it.
  • Music is boring -- not really bad, just uninteresting.
  • Looks like they copied the desert suits from Lynch's Dune.

It will probably be disappointing, like most remakes of great movies. But we can hope that the plot will be a little more coherent than the Lynch movie, which really fell apart in the last twenty minutes or so. The CGI is good, as is to be expected considering how much more advanced it is today. The worms look too big.
