1 Characters are using sign language instead of talking.

2 Nothing is explained during the whole movie.

3 People die randomly in mindless ways.

4 Absurd incidents happen just to add drama.

5 Alien creatures are too much powerful.

6 Weapon is used only once in the end.

All you see is a family avoiding any kind of noise when walking.

Verdict: I don't know why so many are praising this junk of a movie.

I blacked out in the theater on a pint of vodka. Yelled at people at the end apparently. Cousin had to drag me outta there. Don't go to movies often

Agreed. It's an interesting idea but badly flawed execution.

High concept movies are always a crap shoot to undertake. The audience generally will need to suspend its belief over enough nonsensical things so that the premise can be executed. As OP points out there just too many plot points that don't make sense or are clumsily done and ultimately it ruins the film.
