Westerns were brainwashing people. In westerns there were good and bad people, where good people were able to overcome bad people just by using guns. If you pay attention, right after the golden age of westerns millions of people died in WWII. They all thought that they were fighting on the right side. I was raised on conspiracy movies since the 70's, and my biggest concern was not to die like an idiot in a war for the corporations.

Morality is a tricky subject. We have religion to guide us, and we can secularly agree on what is objectively good or evil, but the lines get blurred in war.

If you have a two young men who want to fight for their country and protect their families, and one is American and the other German, how do you determine who is more good? These men are simply fighting for their lives and the lives of their brothers beside them, nothing else falls into the equation when bullets are flying past you.

At the end of the day, good and evil aren’t considered: it’s simply a matter of survival.
