Read instead. 'The Forever War' by Joeseph Hadleman, action packed Sci fi Veitnam war allegory. Pretty light and easy to read. About fighting in a brutal and pointless war only to come home to society that no longer resembles the one you left.
I was just watching Tomorrow War on a streaming site. I turned if off midway through. What a load of fertilizer.
The humans from the future come to the present to harvest soldiers for their future war against some large, aggresive animals. The animals have no weapons or tools, no transportation craft of any kind, but somehow they are defeating the world's military, which, for some unknown reason, never thought of using aircraft and copters to shoot them from the air. Instead they send in drafted grunts with guns that don't do any damage to the animals, unless you hit them in just the right spot. Might as well give them water balloons to throw.
It was then I realized that I was watching a second-rate video game, and lost interest. Derivative at that -- remember the "bugs" in Heinlein's Starship Troopers?
It didn't help that the leader of Earth's armies is a black woman. I mean, if you wanted the absolute best military commander you could find in a life and death situation on the outcome of which depended the human race, you'd pick a black woman, right? Because they have such cool heads and such high IQs and such an ability to think ahead and plan for the future, right? This black woman is telling all the white men where to go and what to do, because they are so pitiful and helpless, they need her directing them.
Then one of the heroic soldiers is, of course, the black man who knows exactly how to fight the animals. But he's too cool and shit to bother telling po' whi' boys how to save themselves. He just wanders around all sullen and pouty. And when you've got lips like a nigger you can really do pouty.
But the reason I bailed out on the movie was when the daughter starts telling her father what a bad man he is, because he left his wife and daughter. Did it never occur to this self-absorbed bitch that he might have had a good reason for leaving them? It occurred to me, and I'm only watching this sorry excuse for a movie, not living in it.
Just dreck. No character development, no story line, the dialog is predictable and trite and the actors are only second-rate. It really is just a crappy first-person shooter video game. That's all we get these days from Jewliwood -- cartoon crap. The Jews who make it must figure we're all too stupid to handle anything with some depth or creativity ... or maybe they just can't find any creative writer willing to put up with them.
