This movie shows how it was for working class Italian and Irish kids in the early 1990's in Gravesend, Brooklyn. One of my favorite movies. Has some funny scenes, but is mostly dark. It was distributed for by Oliver Stone, but supposedly, the Director, 19 year-old Sal Stabile did it for like $10K.

Just finished it then read the wiki. A lot of the ending isn't clear in the film.

Great movie filmed on a $5k budget, Clerks meets Goodfellas!

SPOILERS:

The only character who is left somewhat ambiguous is Chicken, but you can assume from the narration that he is alive and wasn't prosecuted. Zane killed Ray, Chicken killed Zane, and Mikey committed suicide off of the overpass as he had attempted twice before.
