There are many intelligent movies that were not successful at box office, because the majority of people are not intelligent enough to understand intelligent movies. What Hollywood does is making movies that the majority of average people would like to watch based on statistics. The problem is not only the elite, the problem is the plebs with low IQ.

Hollywood has no hegemony. There are certainly factions and if you know what to look for, you can tell that sometimes films/shows are genuine disclosure. There's a good mix of disclosure-tier, propaganda, a mixture of those two and then actual effort pieces, which peculiarly make it difficult to delineate.
