Recent movies have too fast editing and shaky camera. Even if the plot is good, movies are still unwatchable because of this. My theory is that degenerates in Hollywood have fired all the normal people and are doing movies all by themselves. Otherwise it's impossible to explain why recent movies are unwatchable because of crazy technical mistakes.

Oh jez there's must be a million videos on YT that have touched on this topic. Off the top of my head:

  1. Style choice. The Bourne films are a good example of this. When it's done well it 'can' heighten the sense of action and urgency, but at the cost of clarity and focus.
  2. Lazy film making.
  3. Incompetent film making.
  4. Additional esoteric film geek reasons that are probably debatable and that I forget anyhow.

IMO it's most commonly a combination of 2 & 3 but the film maker explains it as a style choice.

I don't have much of an opinion on this but I will say that your explanation still fits just fine in his theory.

That's kinda my point: This is nothing new nor is it rocket science.
