Someone else posted about the movie today and I had been meaning to watch it, so I just finished it.

As a standalone movie, it’s not good. The set design and wardrobe are good and certain actors are good (most notably Vera Farmiga, Ray Liotta, Michael Gandolfini, the hot bitch Dickie marries and the guy who plays Young Silvio), but some of the other performances are wooden and the story is terrible.

El Camino and Better Call Saul are much better. I think Many Saints relies a little too much on nostalgia. The whole Black storyline takes away from what could have been done for character development of the Demeo/DeCavalcante crime family. Like the other guy said today: There are just too many unnecessary Blacks. It almost felt like a prequel to The Wire more than The Sopranos. I give it a C or 6/10.
