I watched this movie because I have a crush on the lead actress mega hottie Kaya Scodelario. That's 100% all I knew about it going in, it turns out this is a reboot of the franchise. They finally figured out that Resident Evil movies are the stupidest shit ever and decided to start over. The sets are outstanding. The cinematography is pretty good. The whole movie feels like a real video game, they might have finally nailed "make a video game into a movie."

If you like the games, particularly the originals then I recommend giving this one a watch.

Watched it. Can't really remember what it was about, because it wasn't really about anything. It just starts, with no orientation, no character presentation or development, no explanation, and it has no real plot, no story to follow. It's a whole lot of the same shit with zombies that we've been treated to from Hollywood for the past 20 years. Personally, I'm fucking sick of zombies.

I agree, the first resident evil movie was good it's everything after that sucked. I thought I was the only person that liked it. This one is definitely more like the games though.

Same guy that directed the original Mortal Kombat movie. Not a great film, but looked aesthetic as fuck.
