I just watched it, it started out with some promise it wasn't bad. Even though I hate the kid from stranger things, and child actors in general. The film felt like it was competent and would tell me a story.

Unfortunately it delved a little bit too deeply into nostalgia. I expected it to do that a little bit, but it went a bit too far. Then without spoiling the ending let me just say the last 30-45 minutes of the movie was practically a reshoot of the original. Like they were going way way out of their way to tie in to the first movie as much as humanly possible.

It felt like they had a different movie and then someone said "hey you should add more nostalgia" over and over again until someone just gave them the original script as a joke. Then they looked at it and said that's perfect.

Overall, it was just ok because I'm not sure who the audience was. The ending after the credits had a very strange setup for a sequel, that to the best of my understanding will be impossible to shoot. So I don't know why they did that. Probably just for nostalgia.

No, the movie fucking sucked.

I agree. At least it wasn't a woke mess, and it did tie up some loose ends for me, like who the fuck was this crazy architect and what's the deal with the dog people? Plus, no callbacks to the all female reboot.

Which is pretty funny, that they rebooted with the women, but ended up shelving the reboot to bring back the originals.

Architect? Dog people? What movie did you watch

I see.

It should have been it's own different movie.

Female lead. It is by definition a woke mess. The problem is you've moved the scale without realization because you are indoctrinated.

Girls don't do these things. Boys and men do. The fact you accept a girl lead doing these things only confirms where you are on the slide rule. Please look within an readjust.

I don't listen to incels. Walk away.

Long married and the envy of many.

Extract the indoctrination from your ass and wake up. According to your foolish self, all of human history is wrong except for the last 80 years.

Wake up. You are indoctrinated.

They've been talking about another Ghostbusters for years with the original cast, before Harold Ramis died.

I always thought it should have been called "Ghostbusters: Old, Fat and Stupid"

I started to watch it, but lost interest after 15 or 20 minutes. Too many niggers, and the kid genius (boy? girl? I couldn't tell) annoyed the fuck out of me. I detest smug, arrogant children.

White girl = smart, not ugly but not too attractive, socially awkward or otherwise quirky Girl nigger = smart, attractive, and desirable in everyway White male = okay to have around but otherwise pretty much inconsequential Black male = the police chief

The story itself is a blatant attempt to leverage nostalgia for a big payoff. Seeing 'the team' back together again for the finale should be fucking awesome but by the time it gets there you aren't invested enough in any of the characters or the plot that leads to that point for you to care. Seriously, what a waste of an opportunity of what is clearly so much goodwill.

The 'woke' casting is just annoying at this point.

Thankfully they at least didn't talk about empowerment intersectionalism or whatever for once. I kind of bought it that the ugly freak kid from stranger things was into the nigger girl, so it didn't bother me that much.
