It didn't click-in until i watched it a second time.

Strode is a 1st Amendment poster child. Strode protects her family & daughter with security and a good gun collection. She is armed responsible citizenry.

Myers is seen as a failure of a justice system that actually protects him. When the podcast team goes to visit Strode she doesnt fuck about. You cant reason with evil.

The scene where the local community comes out on to the street, to deal with Myers is a very powerful moment. It shows the community taking responsibility for its own safety & protection. AKA; There are some things that the police & system cant fix or correct.

Its not a horror movie. Its a political tract dressed up as fiction.
