Just a quick review of the movie *Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon*. I just finished watching it, and I have to say, it's a much better movie than the rating shows it to be. If you like quirky, this is the movie for you. It's got a bit of a Quentin Tarantino vibe to it, but it's not an imitation of Tarantino. It's its own little quirky world. Set in New Orleans, it follows the advertures of a young girl who breaks out of a mental institution. We see a lot of New Orleans at night. The girl is Asian -- I can never tell them apart, but she may be Japanese. I'm not going to drop any spoilers here, I'll only say that it is a solid little movie, with good writing and good acting and good direction. Even the musical score is a cut above what you would expect. All in all, it's worth your time if you like movies that are different from almost anything else out there.
