Maybe its to do with his hatred of Star Wars or him trying to place Jewish belief in Star Wars, but "Jar Jar" Abrams purposely wrote Chewbacca out of key scenes in the final trilogy.
: No key scene between Chewie & Leia after Han's death; Both of them have known Han for decades, but yet in the movie there is no key scene between Chewie or Leia in the aftermath. We didnt see Chewie mourn. Even worse it made Chewie appear cold & callous.
: In TLJ again there is no key scene between Chewie & Luke. Luke hasnt seen Chewie in decades, but yet when they meet there is no key scene between two of the original trilogy characters.
: In ROS, again we have a key character from the original trilogy in Lando, who appears, but yet he has no interaction with Chewie. Both Chewie & Lando saved Han from the Jabba, but yet again no key scene about Han's passing. Fucking stupid.
"Jar Jar" Abrams jewish faith somehow got into the script. He must have seen Chewie as an "unclean" creature or not being "kosher".
So they couldn't even leave a kids movie alone. Disney had to ruin that too.
