The fact this movie was released in 1988 makes this movie so scary. They even refer to the year 2025. A lot of the scenes in the movie relate to what's going on now. The scene where the lead actor is fighting with a minor character to see truth symbolizes how people refuse to see the truth today. The red pill blue pill reference is there, although the symbolism is different.

I don't know how I didn't see this movie sooner.

This is must watch material. And I think the minor character fight scene is one of the best fight scenes ever.

And the smart shabbos goy guy is so today. It's the same people who won't acknowledge that young people can't get a job and get a place to live like we could in our younger days.

Now all those Rowdy Roddy Piper sunglass memes will make sense.

I thought everyone had discovered this movie long ago from the memes based on it. It’s worth watching. If you haven’t seen it before, watch it. Once you get over the low budget it’s entertaining and the idea behind it is brilliant.

I was shocked... shocked that somehow I had missed this movie. I knew the memes, now it made more sense.

We've all learned how to allude to the jews and their evil effects without specifically calling them out, so yea. Even in pop culture, this is done: Ferengi

I like the scene where

Seen that back then but did not understand the message fully then and now when they said "they own it all" I now understand.

"They run the world".

I'm going to watch it again, only this time, I'm going to write the quotes down.

One of my favorite movies. That fight scene was ridiculous. The whole movie is kind of over the top, but it's great fun if you know what's going on. Definitely also recommend.

Agreed. I kept saying out loud, ok, you can end that scene now, it's too long.
