The Odyssey (1997) is the only adaptation for me, especially being one of the most satisfying conclusions and an exemplary FAFO.
Never seen that one. Wow, three hours! I'll give it a watch later, so not looking at your spoiler, though it's tempting.
My fave adaptation from 1979, mixed docu film and animation. https://youtu.be/6yZBUoOVO88?t=625
Captain, director, and illustrator Tony Munzlinger followed in the footsteps of the ancient hero on a 4,000-nautical-mile sailing trip aboard the ship Odysseus. In cartoons and films, he recounts the story of the cunning Greek and shares his impressions of the legendary sites associated with the name of Odysseus. Narrated by the wonderful Hans Clarin!
