A single female should not be getting a roommate with a single man in any case. Some random black guy off Craig's List is sheer stupidity. Once, on a temp job I shared an apartment with a huge black woman, a coworker. She was nice enough but I had to run her ex boyfriend off with a shotgun when she dumped him after he stole some jewelry. He came back when she was out for the day and didn't at first realize I was home. When he did, he just didn't care and continued trying to break in until I chambered a round in my shotgun and told him I would for sure be firing on him. When I lived in Long Beach for a time while going to trade school it was a mostly black and Samoan apartment complex. The blacks were every day having drama. Two incidents kind of stuck with me. A man strangling his wife on the balcony while she screamed for someone to call the cops. A young woman fending off her boyfriend with a knife. Neither one resulted in even mild injury but it was disturbing. Always the drama and chaos. My Samoan Roomie and his Samoan girlfriend were great though. We'd buy food for the week, hang out after class or we'd go visit his Samoan friends and leave his girlfriend on her own. The Samoans were pretty casual and peaceful but they didn't much care for the blacks.
