Imagine if people stopped following a journalist or a news network anytime they clearly got something wrong. If the pilot of your airline flight has been doing regular flights for more than a year you can be guaranteed he knows how to land the plane in all sorts of conditions. Many other professions do not have a straight forward pass or fail test like that. They have no accountability. Utter failures are never weeded out.
