To be honest, I thought a gun was gonna be pulled or one of the wadded up bills was gonna be a ransom note or something. Uncrumpling those bills would be a good distraction for something else.
Still, who the fuck does that. I sometimes stuff bills into my vest pocket because I'm in a hurry, but I don't crumple them up or anything. They just fold at awkward angles until I take them out and put them in my wallet properly.
That's exactly why they crumple them; a few bills will be real while the rest are xeroxed fake bills. By the time you figure it out, they are already out the door with whatever it was they were wanting. Or to distract you while they pocket shit. Strict store policy - NO wadded bills. Unfold them first or no sale. At the very least it is a sign of disrespect to hand over crumpled bills.
