Alan Parsons Supertramp Moody Blues
A lot of 70s singer/songwriter style music I grew up with didn't resonate with me as a kid, but as an older adult now I appreciate the clean sounds and musicianship that went into them. I still have a broad music taste, but I do like this style of music as a break from the hard stuff.

First album I ever owned, I Robot.

Agree. Good selections. I would add Steely Dan to this group.
I really like Moody blues.
But it reminds me of the how carefree and silly life was before 2015.
Old country western music. Couldn't stand it as a kid/teenager, but now I regularly listen to songs about cowboys, outlaws, cattle drives etc.
1920s to 1950s era 'Great American Songbook' music. Frank Sinatra, Dorothy Fields, Ella Fitzgerald, etc.
Dire straits.
Love Dire Straits.
Bob Seger also
Bluegrass
Zydeco
Really enjoy bluegrass
Early Genesis with Peter Gabriel was a later in life find for me. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is a solid, full album listen that I highly recommend.
I've actually gone the other way...too many messages now and I just can't enjoy the music as it disgusts me.
There is music like that for me as well.
Chill music. Electronic style chill.
Boards of Canada type stuff?
Never heard of them. Canada is gay I’ll look them up, but more like
