Public sector unions are really bad since they combine the interminable nature of union workers and government workers to make people that are really impossible to fire. Private sector unions are slightly better but still defend the absolute shitters who should be fired from getting the punishment they deserve, which makes productivity tank because the person who doesn't start working until after noon gets paid the same as the person who does as much work as everyone else combined.
Fully mang. Public is the worst and needs to be abolished. It has these cunts making way more than the the work is worth, even if they show up and perform. I have a freind in State corrections. Babysits level four felons by delivering trays through a slot in their doors in the SHU. 120k per year. Now, I wouldn’t do that job for any money, but 120k?, plus a fuck ton of bennies.
Also, I purposely avoid union shops for my personal business. I much prefer my local grocery store that is fully staffed with non union employees, versus the other option in town that is union and has long lines with closed registers and the people move like snails.
I remember when checkers were asses and elbows getting you rung up, and that was before POS systems, and they knew all the produce codes by heart.
