Protip for anyone thinking of being politicians/whisteblowers or public figures in the future.
Do not buy any car and drive it if it has a drive by wire system and/or any way to connect to any networks or internet.
All they have to do on these cars is cut the brakes electronically, steer is slightly in one direction and floor the accelerator, most of these are automatic cars too so they will go to their top speed until you crash and die. They will also have control over your fuel pumps so enjoy a nice fire after the crash too.
If this does happen to you do not take the key out, make sure your seatbelts on and your body is relaxed and pull the handbrake and try put the car into Neutral, you might have push down a shift lock button.
Modern cars dont have handbrakes. It electronic parking brakes now so they can probably control that too. I dont believe they can be activated anyway after a certain speed.
Shows what I really know, newest car i've owned is a 2005. Drive by wire with manual handbrake.
Yeah I have a stick shift same year as yours with a hand brake. Everything now is automatic and computers control it all.
What cars have this? Anything modern I assume?
Pretty much, anything mid 2000s onwards could be a candidate but do research on each car and i cant be fucked doing that unless i was going to buy it
