About which part? The second part of what I said can be figured out using reverse engineering tools like IDAPRO. The first part prevents it. Look at a cobb accessport. This works by overriding the cars ECU with a different non stock tune. Now, what they did to Hastings car was similar - yet nefarious. Aka they found the CPU OP Code that is i.e brake and set it to null no matter the input - set his throttle to 100% at any degree of depress - etc. They remote controlled his car in this way by taking it over after reverse engineering the cars OP Codes.
Now this is MBs response... Encrypted ECU that must match the cars VIN... i.e if the car needs a new ecu you cant just go to the junkyard and pop another one in.
