Its for end of life care.. not a euthanasia floor. Big difference between using morphine for pain vs using it to stop a "needy" patient.

Bullshit. It's a euthanasia floor. If you want to do end of life care, take your loved ones home.

And be thankful it is a euthanasia floor. When someone you love goes brain dead or worse.

If there was any honor in the western system you could opt for a bullet in the head vs pumping people full of morphine until they starve to death.

I agree with you about home care. I'm not on board with hospice at the hospital unless it's genuinely warranted. I used to work in hospice and not a fan of what I saw in hospital. I preferred working with clients in their homes.

Yeah, I have only dealth with hospice when it's the last week of someone's life. I'd never let my family or friends near a facility, hospital or otherwise unless it was the final wink out and it was trying to obtain a mostly painless exit.

I didn't even realize, until you said something that people would be in hospice in other circumstances.
