A cheap new technique in 2021 is being sold by a couple backbone monitoring companies to do this trivial trick. You just send four similar length chat messages over https then ask big data monitoring company to give list of residential IPs that got those four small similar sized packets over 16 seconds , timed 4 seconds or apart, within 20 milliseconds periodicity jitter and within 120 millisecond window. Then they know who you are even behind a VPN. The solution is to never use text live chat, or use a site that random pads and random delays chat.
