All arguments about the definition of "party" aside, why is he being feted at home and not punished? I assure you, if I'd done what he did, no matter what my excuses, I would not be coming home to cake and a "Welcome Home, School Shooter" banner, I'd be coming home to no screens and no visitors at the very least.
