Surely they're not dumb, just.. ignorant children.
I'm not going to say it's a journalistic artifice, but it sure looks like it could be..
Once i believed that objectivity was held as a virtue among journalists (so naive), but found later that it's not viable to expect it from people on msm-payrolls and at this day and age, should not be expected from any outlets anywhere.
The Modus Operandi looks to be: 1) Pick a topic (of your editors choice) 2) Abide by the narrative (outlined by your employer) 3) Research the topic, limiting the results by referring to 1) and 2) 4) The article can now be written/presented relatively effortlessly with no further steps, unless you: 5) Interview (preferably) a select group of people, where the answers are likely to fit the agenda, but be prepared to ask questions in a way to ensure conformity with desired outcome. Despair not if the results doesn't fit the agenda; you can pick and choose or just make the whole thing up..
