Just remember the climate change scare up until the 70s was we were going to enter a new ice age. In the 80s they said we'd have peak oil by the 90s, and run out by 2000 (hence why movies like Mad Max Beyond Thunderdone were made). They're always wrong.
It's like investment news sources predicting everything under the sun, then when something actually happens they ignore all the times they were wrong, point out the one time they were right, then demand you listen to them for all their predictions going forward.
The latest scare tactic is to claim more storms will occur, not necessarily colder or warmer climates. So yeah, the "science" is ever evolving all right, but the conclusions are always "We need mo munny fo dem programs."
