That's understandable. It's good to be paranoid though, but how paranoid depends on the type of activities you might participate in some day.
I'm super paranoid, but I also have technical knowledge so I know how to be paranoid and still do what I need to do.
A non-israel non-jew owned vpn with a good track record plus something like brave browser in private mode is a pretty good level of isolation for casual searches and browsing, and low level thoughtcrime (lol thoughtcrime autocorrects to thoughtfullness) posts like we do here. Tor browser is another option for the same. Both are easy to set up.
Fedposting or activism where you'll draw attention would call for stricter measures and more paranoia, and if you're doing that you would want more protection on casual too since that turns you into a different type of target.
