Didn't Hitler get elected because the Jews were OPEN FIRING ON WEIMARIAN CITIZENS when they started to complain? That part mysteriously never gets even an honorary mention in the history books for some reason
What's the Weimar Republic? /s
They never even taught us about Weimar and the German civil war between WW1 and WW2 in history class (public school). They made it seem like the Germans lost WW1 and sulked in a corner for several years, before suddenly and for no fucking reason at all, the National Socialist party appeared out of nowhere, led by Adolf Hitler, to DOMINATE THE ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD!! Like super villains. Never taught us about the grievances the Germans had with the jews and other European nations. They just wanted to conquer the world, that's it, it's that simple, children!
But fortunately, as in every war they teach us about, the "good guys" won. Isn't that weird how that happens? The "good guys" win every single fucking war ever, according to public school history. Also, the notion that during a war, the factions involved can be simplified to "bad guys and good guys" is fucking absurd. Even in the context of, say, the Ottoman invasion and rape of Europe, it's retarded to simplify it down so much. Yes, the Ottomans were shit. But they had goals and motivations beyond "because we're evil". Same with the Crusades, or any other war you can mention, save for a small handful where there was one side which was clearly in the wrong by any objective measure.
Nobody talks about the 30 year long "cold war" period leading up to the American Civil War either. Because then they'd have to face the long litany of increasingly aggressive northern abuses of the South that led up to it. As far as the kids are taught, those dirty wicked Confederates just woke up one day and, for no reason at all, decided to start firing cannons at Ft. Sumter.
Same with Poland, Hitler woke up one day and said fuck it, lets invade Poland. Absolutely no treaties or agression caused by Poland at all ...
Funny how Britain's treaty with Poland only covered what they would do if Germany invaded from the West. No provisions at all for support if the Soviet Union invaded from the East. Guess in that case they were on their own.
