I don't recall at what point in the training Hell Week falls, but BUD/S is just one long stress test designed to expose mentally/physically weak people. It wouldn't matter that the training had ended and then had the event. That's when a lot of training injuries actually happen, they have a new normal and on something mundane are relaxed then BAM! rolled ankle or broken bone.

Either way, we'll never know the truth.
