Yellow Springs is a NIMBY haven. Years ago, it was an eclectic college town that was still somewhat delightfully stuck in the 60s, but after the college had to close (and subsequently reopened) it kind of changed. That's not to say they haven't always been that way, but years ago it was a cool place to visit. Now, it's just shite like everything else.

I don't know about columbus but if you have yellow fever I hear they say cuyahoga is known as "little korea" if someone took a seedy red light district straight from seoul and dropped it right in the middle of ohio, lol.
