The word stems from Hebrew. Like all of the Aryan tree of languages, words fall into other languages. Adam means man. The original meaning is ruddy. Meaning it is the line of "ruddy man." Biblically, Adam wasn't the first human. He was the first man. Meaning, the line of Adam is the line of man. Which you can pretty well see holds true today.
In Hebrew, Arab means, "mixed." Meaning the Arabs are a mix of different tribes. Largely a mix and therefore a branch from the Caucasians; though not exclusively so. This distinction was frequently made in the bible. In other words, the Aribic languages branch from languages up stream. Just as the various branches of Arabs do. In proper use, "mankind" means Caucasians. But today it has come to mean all humans. Historically, etymologically, and originally, this has not been so.

You are correct. Jews are Arabs. No need for a distinction unless addressing their specific tribes. Though, the bible itself frequently makes this distinction. Which is also one of the smoking guns as to how we know Jews are not Hebrews nor Israelites. Caucasians are Hebrews. Therefore we know the Israelites are Caucasians. With special note that Noah was of pure blood. Therefore we know the people who came from him were not Arab ("mixed").
As an example, the bible describes Moses as having chestnut blonde hair. He mixed among Egyptian royalty, who are genetically confirmed of Aryan/Scythian ancestry. No one suspected he was anything else because he looked accordingly. They were Caucasians and frequently had blue eyes. Blue eyes have a single common Aryan ancestor. Blonde and red hair are both Aryan traits. Moses, a blonde Israelite, seamlessly blended among other Caucasians. He definitely was not an Arab. Additionally, the bible specifically makes note that his second wife is in fact an Arab. Meaning it's noteworthy because Moses, a Hebrew, is not marrying of his own kind. His second wife was an Arab.
Jews are genetically confirmed as Canaanites. They may, however, be "mixed" with Hebrews because Hebrews were taken as slaves there. So likely some degree of mixing ("arab") occurred. Regardless, in the bible, God commanded they be genocided because of their sinful ways. The Hebrews failed to do so. Today, the survivors are called, "Jews." The only "Israelite" tribe who apparently required a renaming with absolutely no explanation as to why. The actual biblical tribe is called Judean or Tribe of Judah. "Jew" didn't even exist until around 1000ad. "Jew" is not biblical.
