I don't buy new cars. I buy old cars that are cheap, paid-for instantly, don't have tracking and cameras from the factory, have proven their longevity, and can be repaired by me without me$$ing with dealer$.

I will never "buy" a house in the US. You don't actually own it, because if you fail to pay taxes they take it. Even if you pay your taxes, they can take it away to build an overpass or water tower anytime they want.

So where the hell do I live if I don't own or rent a box with shingles? On the water. Million-dollar views, if I don't like my neighbor I can pull up anchor and go someplace else. No rent, no mortgage, no lawn to mow. Free fish and plenty of boobs.

So you paid cash for a houseboat or floating house thing? What about what a homestead provides like food (animals and gardens)?
