Butler is no stranger to law enforcement. Court documents reveal he has been convicted of two felonies: child abuse and child neglect. Charges such as those make it illegal for him to possess guns or ammunition.
I’m glad this man was not officially allowed to own firearms, but those felonies are a bit far off from clear markings of a dangerous criminal. Child neglect in particular is a matter of bizarre opinion these days. You could be convicted of that for letting your kids go down the street to the playground on their own. It seems like the law is using any excuse to take people’s guns away.
That is exactly what they are doing, similarly to that one 94 crime bill they used to satisfy the enrollment demands of privatized prisons.
