A donor does not have any legal rights and responsibilities for children born from the donation, provided they donate through a licensed UK fertility clinic.
Beware. That’s from the UK laws on sperm donation. Those laws differ by jurisdiction. I read that in some US states a sperm donor may be held financially responsible for the child. It’s almost certain you will be responsible for the child if you donate the old fashioned way, but even before you make a little cash through a clinic check the local laws.
