Cops are good at one thing, and it's to come after the facts and start an investigation. And well, they aren't that good all the time, they often tend to be very average. That and taking blows on behalf of politicians, that's what they do, that's their job
Objectively, they are preventing people from solving many problems, long standing issues, by themselves
If we're where we are at, if we have reached that level of rot and absurd... Because it's incredibly rotten and absurd, what we're facing all over europe, and beyond, in the US too, and in the west in general... If we are there it's also because people are prevented from solving the actual problems, and cops play a major role in that grid locked situation, they are an essential cog, objectively speaking... They prevent people from solving the problems and at the same time they do nothing to solve those problems... Meanwhile the problems keep growing...
Yes. They're basically thugs for the system to keep the staus quo. Their role as law enforcement agents is admirable when done to protect the community. However, it's quite another when their job causes harm to the community they should be protecting.
In my country, they aren't necessarily thugs, rather useful idiots, normies with badges... With a salary and a pension depending on their capacity to not understand the problem...
It's that painful to contemplate...
I understand what you're saying. But from what I see, these useful idiots do become thugs for the system occasionally. It is disturbing to consider though.
