Here's my takedown, for what its worth:
The USGOV entity has gone on record to recommend and support military action against The Cartels™ for whatever their reasons may be: fentanyl, massive immigration, appeasing GOP assholes, who knows. So the result is attacks on already worldly known soft targets: schools, malls, pedestrian areas, etc..
If not a retaliation of "we can do more", than this is just more of the existing Hegelian Dialectic to disarm America: "Anyone can come here and get a gun, ergo we have to eradicate all guns and defense."

Yes, going after Mexican cartels while having a massively unsecured border is how you start a war on U.S. soil. Biden is a massive piece of shit for allowing this to escalate in this way.
