Well also just more likely to have a degree, which is a signalling tool for status. This is the logic behind 'just get any degree, doesn't matter which'.
The left is more conscious of social status, which leads then to pursue degrees in higher numbers, and also rule out logical premises and conclusions that would lower their social standing if voiced.
