Look at their margins. Expecting $1500 on a $613 investment. On top of that the crops were easy as fuck to grow. Disregarding that for a minute, SMART farmers would be out there marking where the flooding spots happened and dig out drainage ditches and building up lower areas. This is something the local (not corrupt) government would assist with via loans but that won't happen either. Instead we get a story on yahoo of all fucking places with a story aimed at whitey because they caused climate change.
