Simone Lyke, 32, was attacked by her male Bully dog around 11pm on July 24 on the balcony of her San Antonio apartment. Police said Lyke had a friend over at the time, which had aggravated the dog. She was trying to move her pet to the balcony when he turned on her. The dog unexpectedly lunged at Lyke and the gory scene rapidly unfolded as she screamed for someone to call 911.

I was able to turn a lot of pit bulls into "good dogs."

Rare but possible. They can still snap on a hair trigger after a decade though. For some of them, that reaction never leaves.
