A couple of hippies were making "unicorns" about 30-40 years ago. It was in all the news outlets. The sheep (or maybe it was goats) had a single horn on their heads. After a while, the hippy guy involved explained how he did it. When horns start to grow, they have little "buds" on the skull. This guy just moved the "buds" together into the middle of the forehead of the animals so that the horns twisted together and came straight out from the head as one horn. It was basically a mutilation of the animals.
