Well the US Military did look into and hire remote viewers for espionage. They where found to be a little bit accurate. Now this MArs one IDK about that..

Yes, the remote viewers of Project Stargate had some impressive hits. The reason the Pentagon cancelled the program was because those results were not reliable. Yes, at times the psychics were accurate. Those who investigated the program admitted as much. But there was no way for the generals to know when they were accurate and when they were inaccurate. This made their results useless in a practical way for waging war or espionage. Information that might be true, but also might not be true, could not be acted upon.
