But what are their objective? Win the elections? Probably not, unless they are dumb as fuck, which remains a possibility

The golem is set on a path that the election results don't matter. If anything, it'll complete more under the radar if the election goes to Trump again. It's not really even about destroying the country but to drive it into a corner where it can be easily corralled and brought to heel so it can be milked then slaughtered as seen fit. Infiltration has taken a generation, indoctrination has taken even less time than.

Pawns a plenty and when one is a pawn, one rarely realizes that they are. Even if they are given a perception of being in an inner circle.
