Cry me a river, you worthless eater... pay your dues.

When I finished school in 2007 — with an undergraduate degree in biology and a master’s in science journalism — I owed $78,060 in federal loans.

Any student loan recipient that spends a fortune getting a mostly worthless degree deserves what they get.

A little trick I picked up is if I want to know how valuable a specific degree is, I tend to look that up as part of a requirement in places like indeed to get an idea of what jobs exist, what credentials they require, and what kind of wages they offer.

So far it has yet to fail me with reputable degrees.
