I always patted myself on the back, as one of the few men of the West who was lucky enough to have been born between major wars, plagues and other disasters. I was born too late to fight in WW2, Korea, or Vietnam. About the time I hit draft age the draft was terminated. All my life the West has enjoyed prosperity and peace. Sure, the politicians sent troops overseas to kill brown people from time to time, but those troops had voluntarily signed up for it, and I wasn't among them. I was at home, enjoying a period of free speech unparalleled in the history of humanity.
Now I'm older, but I didn't quite make it into the grave without a major disruption in Western society. It looks as though there are people with lots of money who are determined to destroy Western civilization. That affects me. There is no where I can go to get away from it. When the shit hits the fan, I'm going to get covered in it. Part of me wishes it had come when I was younger, and better able to cope with it; but another part of me is thankful that I had a long life of prosperity, liberty and peace. Whatever happens in the future, I've been luckier than 99.999% of the human beings born on this planet. I have Christianity, the Anglo-Saxon spirit of liberty, and the white race to thank for it.
