Cool it with the antisemitism. Oy vey!
But you know what everyone hates even more? Being told what they can or cannot say or think.
I used to believe that. I don't know if I've gotten wiser, or the world has changed, but I think that you're making a false assumption. It now seems like (many? most?) people enjoy being programmed to surrender any personal accountability, and just submit to what they've been ordered to do, as long as they're 'liked' on 'social' media, and the netflix remains uninterrupted.

That may be a fair assumption. Elaborate.

Yes, indecent percentage of people believe what they're told enough times, regardless of the veracity.
The situation being "hopeless to change" as it were (my interpretation of your words) is different from the current scenario in the u.s. and abroad.
Because assuming that is what you're getting at, the difference between people being actively brainwashed, and the situation being hopeless is this:
We
know the mechanics (big lie technique - loudest megaphone wins),
who/what orgs specifically are funding it (pharmaceutical companies, same thing they do when theres a mass murder, blame the gun if possible to distract from the pharmaceuticals involved)
What the tools are to spread the lie: media companies, big five in the social media sector, certain others.
These are big problems and big opponents for sure, and they should and will be held to account.
But big problems are different from unsolveable problems.
And while we're talking about it, look around you.
"enjoy"?
Look around you, do you see too many happy people?
The "comfortably numb" are miserable. Thats why they're revolting. It just so happens the revolt is being lead by the state, against everything non-state. Why? To placate them. To pressure release.
And why does the regime have to do that, placate them, if it has absolute power?
Have you asked that lately?
Look I'm a horrible cynic, so when i say they're not invincible, it is not motivated out of any sort of hope or delusion.
The state, the regime, the occupation, congress, whatever you call them, are not invincible.
Goliath fell too.
And so will they.
They are not gods. They're not even immortals. They're warm fleshy bodies, full of blood and organs and all the other things that make people, just like the rest of us. They fear. They sleep. They get exhausted. They can be run ragged. They can be run in circles. They can be mislead and be misdirected. They succumb to pressure. To leverage. To greed. To the idea of inevitability: the inevitability of age, ruling a vast well armed continent, the inevitability of the limits of power, all of it. They make mistakes, they overlook their underlings incompetence. They run out of other peoples money and get booted out of office and are put to trial or die of old age. Makes no difference.
Power fails in the face of its own hubris.
You just gotta not give up. Resist and push forward longer than its worth for them to continue.
Thank you for a well-considered response.
I don't think it's hopeless, when I watch a double-masked moron go rolling past alone in their car, it does seem a little pointless though.
We (1) know
I'd phrase it more like We know... We know and share info, but with pretty much everyone else, I can show clear evidence, and they'd rather turn a blind eye to it, and carry on as they were. I think the only two times I've gotten a sniff of people agreeing something might not be right was asking "If the nurses are so overworked, how do they have the energy to choreograph dance routines?" and "Isn't it weird that Fauci and Tam are both more interested in fucking-glory-holes than they are with keeping people safe from the deadly-deadly disease?"
Resist and push forward longer than its worth
I have been doing that pre-9/11, pre-Fight Club, etc. I'm just venting, because I confess, I'm annoyed that some days it feels like I'm the only local running guerrilla ops, and the only ones I can communicate with without sounding crazy are anonymous and online.
