So did you know a lot of exotic pets carry monkey pox? In fact some animals like praire dogs can give you monkey pox. Which is why you shouldn't own one.
Now my question is people still keep exotic animals that can carry monkey pox. I used to breed African Soft Fur Rats which can give me monkey pox.
So why is it NOW a problem?
The question is not why not?
The question is whether this is actually monkey pox or something else.
The question is whether this is actually monkey pox or something else.
There's always been monkey pox. The media just hasn't reported about it like they are now. I predict this "outbreak" will remain as nothingbuger with a total of less than 50 cases in the year.
Some speculate is because covid has lowered the immunity of some species of animals to the point of where the monkey pox that they were carrying has become activated. Speculation.
Just listened to this episode today and they touched on just that; rats being connected to the pox outbreak.
