Pornhub, a subsidiary of Aylo, has now ceased access to the site in Texas after an age-verification law was passed. The company made a statement about disabling the adult content site on Thursday.

The statement from the pornography company stated, "As you may know, your elected officials in Texas are requiring us to verify your age before allowing you access to our website. Not only does this impinge on the rights of adults to access protected speech, it fails strict scrutiny by employing the least effective and yet also most restrictive means of accomplishing Texas's stated purpose of allegedly protecting minors."

You're falling into their trap. "Age verification" is not to protect kids. They rely on good faith people to support it. It's a way of making it harder to go online anonymously.

We have a similar bill making its way through federal parliament in Canada. It has some nonsense name about protecting children and it’s all about forcing Canadians to identify themselves online so that they can be tracked. Coincidentally, we have some new laws on the way that can get you life in prison for certain kinds of online speech.

The government is not in charge of raising our children. The government is one of the things we need to protect our children from. If you want to protect your children from what is on the internet do it yourself.
